Weekends For Family

Saturday evening was spent celebrating the first birthday of my little nephew.  We drove up to my cousin’s house in Carona, California and had a great time catching up with the family.  When I say we, I am referring to my girlfriend and little brother.  While up there we viewed the Olympics on television and watched the 26th mile run won by a Romanian.  She had an incredible pace and continued to run for her victory lap.

This brings me to my main point.  The time you spend with family is quite important.  Although business is always on my mind, I have learned to curve my thought process to think only about family when time has been reserved to do so.  In this fast paced world of Internet business it sometimes is quite difficult to reserve time for your personal life.  Not to sound like a motivational speaker, but you can actually motivate yourself more in business when a solid personal life has been built.  During the time I was in Carona, sure I could of missed certain business opportunities which could of taken the shape of selling a few domains here and there, but the time missed would of been priceless.  It would of been an event that I could never recover and business will always be there regardless.

Although I would like to type a little more, I have to get ready for Sunday.  My girlfriend is still asleep and I want to suprise her with breakfast.  I also need to help her move a few things at her house today.  I hope everyone is enjoying a great weekend!
