My Office Completed

Posted On Wednesday, March 10, 2010

I should say the office is completed FOR NOW.  I emphasize the for now because there are a few other things that are left to be done, one being the blinds.  Lets just say it was long overdue.  We moved into this place several years ago and never got around to renovating it.  The carpets looked like they were pulled out of a black hole and the walls looked like someone painted 100 different coats of paint and decided that the last coat should be white.

Although we attempted to paint the office ourselves, it never came out the way we wanted it to.  I and a fellow business partner of mine decided to fork over the money to get it done right and we are glad we did so.  I now look forward to coming to this place every single day of the week and have already received several compliments in reference to it.  Having a workspace I enjoy allows me to be more productive.  It’s difficult to explain, but once you are able to create such a space for yourself you will be amazed at how efficient you become.

Today I will be focusing on the networking for the office.  I have some CAT5 cable to crimp and a patch panel which is hungry.  Time to feed the patch panel with the lines it’s been waiting for.  Once the wiring has been completed I can proceed forward with the phone system!  As I’ve detailed in previous entries, this phone system will consist of IP based phones and a server running Trixbox.  This will be where the cold calls are made!  Ooops did I just say that, I’ll shed a little more light on this later. :)

For now enjoy a few pictures of my office and look at the healthy items stored in the fridge.  I made sure to stock up on these healthy items as you never know when you need a cold one!

@Donald, thanks bud I really appreciate the positive comments. I am thinking of putting a flat panel TV on one of the walls. Maybe the wall my desk is facing. :)

I still need to get a few more plants. The green makes it FUN!

@TeenDomainer, many thanks! Camera angles make it look cleaner than it is. If you could only see the other side of the office. LOL! We are working it out very soon tho. Still need my business partner to come in and get his area together! Maybe I will take another picture after the two of us have everything up and running!

Why aren’t the walls purple and there’s no Cristal in the fridge, and you call yourself a pimp?

@Mojito Recipe, thank you! The next beverage to enter the fridge will be Guinness! New pictures will be needed once this is done! ;)

@JB feel free to mail me a bottle of Cristal, the blog has enough purple. No need to push the envelope and paint the office the same color. ;) For the Cristal my address is:

    2007 Wilshire Blvd.
    Suite 719
    Los Angeles, CA 90057

    I await its arrival!
