My Office (Before Renovation)
I’ve always wanted to do a before and after shot of a renovation project. Now that I’ve decided to move forward with renovating my office in downtown, I figured this would be the perfect time. My office is located in the Wilshire-Westlake building in Downtown, Los Angeles. This is a fairly old building, which needs a number of repairs.
Since a few of the repairs are out of my hand, I will just concentrate on what I can control and that is the overall office itself. Currently I have two rooms, both are around 120 square feet. I sublease one of the offices to another business associate and share the second room with a business partner. The second office which I currently sublease has already undergone its own renovation, so its about time that I start out on mine.
Now the word renovation can mean a number of different things. In this case the walls are being smoothed out and repainted. In addition to the walls the carpet is going to be ripped up and replaced. I met with a painter earlier today who is giving me a great deal on painting the office. He has also agreed to fill in a few of the holes in the wall with silicone gel. Below you will find a few pictures of the office space. I can’t wait until I can showcase the finished project. I am very excited about this and plan to commute to the office on a daily basis to get work done!
*Please note, we had someone come into the office and get the priming started. That’s why all the furniture is all over the place.

This is the area where my desk will go. I like the view from the window! Seven stories up!

Thanks Morgan! I can’t wait to bring people to the office once it is done. I am debating on getting a flat panel TV to mount on one of the walls. That would be fun!

Office, you must be doing good….
I still work from home…. Not for long though. Expanding market is forcing me to have to create a job for someone. Hope Obama does not get on tv and take credit for again.

I’m just fortunate Bruce. Great family, friends and business associates. What more could I ask for.
We’ve had this office for a few years now. We actually used to lease a whole row of offices when we first moved into the building. There were about four rooms at one time. We decided to downsize to two and only needed one. So it worked out in the end.
