Hollywood.cm NameJet Auction Update

Posted On Thursday, September 3, 2009

Are you ready to hear the final bid amount for the hollywood.cm domain name? Is the anticipation killing you? Drum roll please, the final bid amount for the hollywood.cm domain is $1,010.

Keep in mind this price does not include the 2 year registration fee of $350 for the domain. In total the buyer has paid $1,360 for this name. Not a bad investment in my opinion, since there will be typo traffic as well as the opportunity to brand and develop the domain name with such a powerful keyword.

I refreshed the auction until the last minute and was able to grab a screen shot of the entire auction for you to view. Here is the screenshot, you can click on it to view a clearer version of the image.

    Was that your domain ??

    That was a good price…

Be interesting to see what they
    do with the domain…

    Tell me about NameJet.com

    I don’t recall ever using them…

    What are your opinions of
    their service…

    How do you get domains
    listed for sale there ??

Are they also a registrar ??

    Does the domain have to
be WITH them in order to
sell it with their assistance ??

What fees do they charge ??

How long does one have to commit
the name to their sales service ??

I realize it’d be probably easier
to get the answers to my
    questions – directly from
    NameJet.com — they can come
here and respond… that way it
will be helpful / useful information
    for all your viewers wondering
    the same…

    Thanks in advance for responses
    and answers… (smile)

    Hey Patricia,

It was a domain name that I was bidding on. Unfortunately it went higher than the budget I set for the name.

I have mixed feelings towards NameJet. At one time I felt that they were a very promising company which would bring a fresh platform to the domaining industry. My mixed feelings revolve around how they have handled the .CM fiasco. Now it hasn’t all been there fault. The problems and delays surrounding the new extension point directly back to the .CM registry.

As far as the other questions I will let NameJet answer the rest as I am not familiar with the rest of the services that they offer. Let’s see if they take the time to answer such an intuitive domainer. :)
