Domaining Is A Family Game
A few days ago I found myself looking for potential catalogs, magazines and newsletters to help spark a few domain registrations. This allowed me to venture into a new space which I haven’t really tapped into before called “medical supplies”. Only if I had decided to do this earlier! My father is a doctor and he literally is a walking medical dictionary. Who needs content writers, when you can get this information directly from the source?
I decided to talk to him about what I was doing and within a few days I had a small stack of medical catalogs and magazines in my hand. These are the same resources I used to see come to the house when I was a kid. At that time I would browse through them and just think to myself why in the world would anyone want to read something like this. Hence, the reason why I never decided to go to medical school.
Whether my father knows it or not, he is helping me as a domainer. He is opening my eyes to new subject matters that I would of never been exposed to without his help. He has also helped me identify a very interesting market segment which has very high PPC rates. Medical supplies is huge and there really aren’t many resources currently out there providing insightful information. This means that there is less competition from traditional mini sites and blogs in this sector. At this time I have no desire to enter into medical supply sales, but I do have a desire to register domain names for targeted product offerings which apply to this field.
I am happy with simply forwarding the traffic to medical supply companies and collecting my percentage for doing so. I am also looking forward to working with my dad on content for mini sites. I am literally going to sit him down and just start asking questions, during this process he will help me generate content for future domain registrations! Domaining is a family game, one which can be played without a set rule or guidelines! Anyone and everyone can help!

medical supplies and anything lab oriented is huge money for supply companies, they usually get the contracts for a whole facility, one good lead is worth 6 figures to them as a sale.

@Descriptive Media you are 100% correct. This was a huge wake up call to me being the son of two doctors. I’ve always thought about how I could tie domaining and the medical world together and I recently I found my answer. I’ve already complete one mini site pertaining to medical supplies and look forward to making many more.
One of the products that my mini site is advertising is selling for $3,699.00 on Amazon. Lets just say if someone were to purchase this device through my affiliate link it will make more than most campaigns could come close to.

Awesome post, Jason! My wife has really helped me on the domain registration side, she’s really amazing at coming up with great product domains that I have been developing on Epik. Domaining really is a family game!
