Domainer Mardi Gras Showcase Auction
The submission deadline for the Domainer Mardi Gras Showcase Auction is tomorrow, February 3rd, 2010. I had the chance to submit a few of my domain names over the weekend. I am sure that the majority of my names most likely won’t make the cut but I gave it a try anyway. Here is a sample of what I submitted:
autoclaim.org
autoinsuranceclaim.net
blushes.org
creditnews.us
curlers.org
datingtalk.net
discounttalk.com
freecreditreportscore.net
infomercials.info
northpasadena.com
old.cc
shoot.us
undress.tv
I learned my lesson in the last auction that took place at DOMAINfest Global 2010. I didn’t submit one domain name into the auction and decided never to let another opportunity like this pass. To submit a few of your domain names into the Domainer Mardi Gras Showcase Auction feel free to click here. I am sure there will be a number of last minute submissions, so submit your names as soon as possible!
On another note I will not be attending Domainer Mardi Gras. I am sure it will be a great time, but I have decided that one convention here in the United States on domaining will be enough for me at this time. Maybe I will try it out when next year comes around.

Jason, you have some nice names up there … hopefully mine make the cut also (I sent in a few that I thought might ft the “theme” of Mardi Gras); So far, I submitted:
Astrologer.net
LivePsychicReading.net
Voodooism.com
I will take the time and comb through my names to see what might get picked up!

Astrologer.net looks like a good domain name to me. I wonder if they will except it into the auction, should be interesting to watch.

I’m sorry, not to be rude, but I disagree with Ron Wells there on the quality. I would not take those if you gave them to me for free b/c I would not want to spend the money on renewals.
I’m not saying I know everything, but I have been buying domains for over 15 years……you got to step up the quality about 20 fold over this to ever gain any traction with domains.
I just have to say those are total, total trash.
No need to post this if you do not wish, I just thought someone had to say it.

Hello Belmassio,
How were you rude? Everyone is entitled to an opinion. The only comments I do not allow to be posted on this blog are spam comments.
“you got to step up the quality about 20 fold over this to ever gain any traction with domains.”
Just as you are entitled to an opinion so am I. I’ve sold enough domain names over the years to not only gain traction but to supplement a healthy lifestyle. I’ve done well for myself and I also understand the value of a domain name. What might not appear to be attractive for you may actually be a great investment for someone else.
A few words of advice. Before you call someone’s domains pure trash, you should educate yourself a bit more and understand that a domain name is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. I would love to see what domains you have submitted into the auction. Unlike you, I don’t participate in uttering ignorant terms, nor will I ever call someone’s domain name trash.

Thanks Jason. @Belmassio, what Jason said is true … everyone has an opinion; you may not find these names worthy of your domaining dollars, but I’m sure that someone else just might (if not now, then maybe later!). By the way, I just submited a few more “trash” names (hopefully those are accepted too:-) ):
90048.com
90230.com

Also, some of us new guys have to start somewhere (I’ve only been in the game aseveral years … so I haven’t been blessed with a premium portfolio)!
