Domain Spotlight Tuesdays Marlboro.com

Today’s featured domain name is Marlboro.com. Personally, I don’t smoke and I am kind of curious how this mailer showed up to my house. The mailer is quite flashy and graphically pleasing. Even the Surgeon General’s Warning was placed in a good location! Philip Morris gets it, even if they are steadily trying to push cigarettes on the global population.

Marlboro.com is mentioned a whopping five times on the flier! This doesn’t include the number of times the website is printed on the envelope and the offial content rules sheet. The flier had such an amazing design, that I almost wanted to enter the contest! A non-smoker wanting to enter a contest promoted by a cigarette company. Now isn’t that ironic.

Kudos to those that were involved in making this mailer. But Philp Morris, if you do end up reading this blog entry. The domain pimp doesn’t smoke! So please remove me from the Marlboro mailing list. I noticed you included a number to call to be removed, but I figured it would be more fun simply asking to remove me via this blog entry!
