Domain Spotlight Tuesdays: E3Expo.com

Posted On Tuesday, June 15, 2010

It’s an exciting time for those of us that live in Los Angeles, California.  Forget about the Hollywood scene and lets zone in on Downtown.  If you haven’t heard, Los Angeles is home to the video gaming industries largest expo called the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).  The expo started today and runs until the 17th.

In addition to the expo, the Lakers won game 6 and fans all over Los Angeles are eagerly awaiting to see them win another championship this Thursday, June 17th 5:30pm PST at the Staples Center.  Can you imagine what it feels like to be here right now?  I can’t even describe the energy which is currently running through this city.

This brings me to today’s domain spotlight!  As if E3 needed anymore publicity, but I must say if you haven’t been to the expo it is well worth it.  A few years ago, when I was still in college a friend of mine asked me if I wanted a ticket to the expo and of course I said yes.  Turns out his father invested in a video game company which provided them with a couple of free passes to E3.  Unfortunately that company went belly up and he no longer receives such passes.

Now lets focus our attention on the expo’s main domain name E3Expo.com. This domain name is short and to the point.  It is an extremely easy domain name to remember!  It has a total of six characters, with the last four characters of the domain name ending with a punch.  If you are in Los Angeles and don’t have any hookups to get into the expo for free, surf on over to E3Expo.com and click on the top right button entitled, Go to E3Expo.com! Then prepare to be presented with the following message:

“E3 Expo 2010 Attendee Registration has closed.”

Oh well, better luck next time!

On Thursday evening I plan on celebrating across the street from the Staples Center at LA Live.  I’ll make sure to take my SLR with me and try and capture as many moments as I can for you guys.  Who knows, maybe E3 will let me in on a media pass of some sort.  You’d be amazed at what a good digital camera does for you these days.  Enjoy!
