Rename My Blog Contest Winner Announced!
On Tuesday I posted the first contest this blog has ever had. The contest was entitled “Help Me Pick A Domain For My Blog!” I am personally amazed at the participation rate of this contest and love to see how the domaining community tends to band together for small causes like this. A total of twenty-two contest submissions were entered! For those who entered into the contest you are greatly appreciated, it was a tough decision for me but I feel that it is one that will work in the end.
Are you ready to hear who the contest winner is? Drum roll please! The first contest winner this blog has ever had is PPC Ian! I want to thank Ian for his insight, he definitely convinced me why re-branding this blog with a new name was not the route to take. He provided me with the insight I needed to make a healthy decision. Everyone knows me as Jason from DNPIMPING and that is not going to change anytime soon. In fact this decision will allow me to continue to spin the PIMP motif into something positive. If you can’t have fun in the industry you love, then what are you supposed to do?
I am here to lighten things up a bit! This site receives a steady amount of visitors and is currently a PR3. That should not go unnoticed. It took a great deal of hard work to get it to this point and I plan on working even harder to take it to the next level. Here is what PPC Ian said that really made me think twice about choosing another name:
Just my 2 cents, but I REALLY like your current site name and theme. Things are too serious these days (I’m a culprit here too). It’s refreshing to visit your blog and I wouldn’t change a thing. Moreover, your avatar is really catchy and hard to forget!

Well done, my friend! I’m glad that you’re keeping the name! Thanks PPC Ian for helping Jason make a great choice, it shows how the domaining community is starting to come together! Jason, remember that there are other bloggers that have built a BRAND NAME off the names of their blogs and they’ll be doing great things with those brands in near future.
